From one extreme...

Can you guess where I went today?
Certainly not Vermont. Another state (of mind) altogether.
Yep, that's right. The big smoke. The big apple. The city. It's been AGES since I've been in. I had to go to the Australian consulate to get new passports for 3 of the kids. That didn't actually take too long, even with getting caught up in their fire drill and learning all about what to do in case of a fire.

So after that I had the day to myself. I wandered up Fifth Ave to the Rockerfeller Center. Here it is in miniature in the new lego store there.

Yep, that's a lego dragon.

And here it is for real.
The tree is so pretty from afar, but when I went around the back of it and saw how big and old it is, it made me a little sad. But as Eddie from Ab Fab said, "it would probably just become IKEA furniture if it wasn't a Christmas tree". I hope they do something good with it afterwards.
And the view from Matt's new office on 44th St.
Apparently he can see right into a men's toilet.
Ah, NEW YORK.

  1. Now that is more a Dad sort of town, and not even snowing...

  2. Wow! Matt's got an interesting view of that old architecture. Is he close to Central Park for the occasional lunch hour stroll?
