Acorns

My little harvest of acorns that I've been making for the Historical fair.

When I was a child I used to get all my pencils and line them up in colour order- well the way I thought looked best. I did it with smarties and well, anything that comes in a rainbow of colour. It was interesting to see both Ella and Oscar just as compelled as I (still am if I'm honest) to put them in colour order.

I've also been experimenting with felt jewellery- I knitted these shapes, stuffed them and then felted them.
Even those balls are knitted first.
These needs some jazzing up me thinks- some beads in between or something.

We've been slowly getting into all the school routines again. Oscar is sick- came on as soon as he started school. Anyone would think he's allergic to it. Remi is still running- he has his first meet tomorrow and is at a pre race pasta dinner right now. I had an email from mum asking if I was ok - as I said to her, there's only so many times one can blog about how much driving around one does. I literally left the house 6 times the other day ( the kids had the day off for Rosh Hashanah) and didn't actually go anywhere- just dropping off and picking up people. Which is what I have to go and do now. Fortunately Oscar starts his driving lessons this week...
