just summering

We've moved rooms, cleaned rooms, organised rooms. We've read and walked and trampolined and played. We've fixed and replaced and repaired. I have finally started knitting something... Oscar went away for a week's camp in Virginia and came home sunburned and peeling and very, very tired. It's been a hot hot summer this year- the slight reprieve we had the last few days was gorgeous and the kids actually played outside more when the weather was a bit cooler. Summer is marching on. Kit turns 11 next week (always hard to organise anything in the middle of summer) and we have only 3 1/2 more weeks until school starts.

Sorry I haven't been blogging much- but if you feel the need to look at some wonderful photos from a far off place, check out my sister-in-laws amazingly gorgeous photos from a recent trip to Vietnam...

  3. Please advise your sister-in-law that I always take the advice of my daughter, so when I was told to look at her blog of course I did...but she really should start planning her trip to Halon (I am sure that is the wrong spelling but can't think of the right one a ce moment) Bay in perfect weather August is about perfect...and that could be your next year holiday sans Matt.
Your Dad and Siss and Rosie are getting very excited... only a couple more days...obviously why we are practicing our french.
