First day of school

6:40 am:

Me:"Come on Remi, it's your first day of highschool, let me take your photo."

Oscar: "Don't do your posing face."

Remi: "You mean this one?"
Me: "Come on Osc, smile for the camera."
Oscar: "Don't take any more photos!"
Remi: "She's still doing it."
7:15 am:

Kit: "Don't forget to take photos of me, Mum."

Me: "Kit, don't run! You have plenty of time to get the bus!"

[About 10 minutes later Kit comes in, crying. His bus driver had stopped, but he'd got confused by the new route number and told the bus driver it wasn't his bus. Once the bus had driven off, he'd realised it was. So I had to drive him up, but on the way he saw some friends walking, so we stopped and he walked the rest of the way with them. Bummer- it's his first day of middle school. I'd asked him if he wanted me to come up to the bus stop with him, but he wanted to do it on his own. He has been SO EXCITED for the last week or so. Hopefully the rest of his day will go better.]

7:48:

Me: "Honey! Stop jumping around so I can put your leash on!!"
Ella: "I'm a little bit nervous, but mostly excited."
Now all I have to do is drop Matt at work and the house will be SILENT. SIGH.
