the last stretch

Officially 2 days of school left- Friday and Monday, although Monday is a half day so it really feels like we shouldn't bother. We have 2 graduation ceremonies to get through- Kit's 5th grade tomorrow and Remi's 8th grade on Monday. And we all got a cold on the weekend. So somehow this last week has slipped away from me. I had grand plans- to go to the city by myself, to update my etsy store, to do a real painting etc, but I've really done nothing. I did take a BUNCH of photos of my makings the other day and there was a glitch in the program I was using to edit them and I lost them all. Oh, and I have been doing a lot of planning of my trip. Only 12 days until I leave. I am BESIDE myself with excitement. I've booked 2 nights in a hotel in London at the end of my trip. I can't wait to just walk around the city and explore on my own. Last time I was in London I had a 2 month old, a 19 month old, a 4 year old and a six year old. Backpack and pram and lots of holding onto the pram. And it was February- we were walking around in light snow one day. The time before that I was 18 with a bunch of exchange students. They're the only 2 times. And both times I LOVED it. So I'm really excited about that part of the trip. And I can't WAIT to see Wales. Maggie (my step mum) has been posting some of her adventures on her trip blog- it's so beautiful. I can't wait to get my camera out and take masses of photos of old ruins and wonderful wild scenery.

  4. I am sort of pleased other artists also have experiences and battles with their computers, I thought it was just us old blokes.
But there is still time for some wonderful art work before heading off.
