Exciting photo I know...It's actually moving as I take this photo.On Friday night when we were out at dinner Matt announced to me, "I bought you a present today; it will be delivered next week".
Oh goody, I thought. A present. For me!
Well, my darling is not the kind of man to buy me jewels, or clothes, and I only get lovely fancy things sometimes, on my birthday if I'm lucky, or occasionally at Christmas. He is very much a practical gift kind of a guy. So I should not have been surprised when I opened my box yesterday and found this.
The irobot Roomba. It's a little robot that goes around vacuuming your floor for you. It just motors along around the room, from room to room sucking up hair and gunk. Mostly hair in this house. Honey is a shedder and there are always great clumps of hair everywhere-even after you have just vacuumed. Often when I vacuum I have to go over everything 2 or 3 times. And then as soon as I've put the vacuum cleaner away, there's more hair.
So I do appreciate Matt's gesture.
Of course, I am constantly having to empty our little robot out-he can only swallow so much hair, but I like the fact that he can run over the floor in the morning, recharge and do it again later in the evening. I can even set him to do it at certain times of day-and I suppose you are meant to do it when you are out, but for now the kids (and I) love to watch him navigate around the room. Honey (who hates the big vacuum cleaner) isn't sure what to think. Doesn't help that the kids talk to it like it's a pet!
Dad wants one, and is there a model that climbs the stairs as well, can it do the leaves in the back yard?
