more of summer

Although it's been hot lately, it's been wet. We've been waiting for the tide to come up in the afternoon and then we go to the town beach. But most afternoons that means dodging thunderstorms with torrential rain.

Today the rain stayed away...all day. The three boys spent hours outside building a "gib" park. You look it up, I still don't really know; but it has something to do with snow and skis. Amusing. All I know is that they took ALL my tools out there to do it. And worked together for at least 3 hours.

Ella was at a friend's for the day, then we met her down at the beach at 4 and some other friends for a beach picnic.
And we were blessed with gorgeous weather. High tide was at 7:01pm. The kids swam and played and built sandcastles...

Well, pits of death...

The sun started to go down, but still we stayed.

The moon came out and still we played.
It was GORGEOUS!!!
