Some lovelies

Another depressingly WET day here.  And cold- not even going to make it to 20C.  And they call this summer.  Only 2 more days until the summer holidays.  If the weather is like this all summer there may be blood!  I'm not sure I can contain 4 children happily in a house for weeks on end.

So to cheer myself up I'm going to post some things that I've been saving in my "inspiration folder" over the last few weeks.  Apologies- no links or anything, just pictures I've saved in my travels in blog land.

This one, for the crochet of course...I like this idea-although for foot stools I think a little cushioning underneath would be nice.
I have a fascination with dorm type rooms.  There is something so nice about them-especially when decorated like this!
Oh, and to sleep in a room like this...
This kitchen is pure GENIUS!  I love the idea of having everything there, on hand, open and accessible, but still having a place.  It calls to the organiser in me.
Another lovely barn room.
Oh, and to sleep here!  In fact, I've taken to imagining myself lying here when I'm trying to get to sleep at night.
This is very cool-I can see us needing a room like that if it continues to rain.
And next time I have a garden party (!) I am definitely going to do this.
This is a cool idea for a hidden room, although you may need a lip on those shelves so the books don't come flying off every time you open the door.
Another lovely bed in a pitched roof room.
Oh, these are super cool-bean bag type things.  I LOVE these-especially if they have that effect on children.
Not a particularly practical set of stairs, but I've always loved the look of step shelving.
Another dorm type room.  I think it's the quilts that I like in this one.
And lastly these sweet little 'shrooms.  These are from a website I know
Have a happy day, and I hope that the sun is shining where you are (unless you live somewhere drought stricken in which case I hope our rain comes your way).

  1. Yes I am paying attention, and even though the drought has not gone away after a week of rainy Tassy and even some rain in Wentworth am hoping for a bright sunny weekend for Wentworth's 150th birthday celebrations.
