I'm using my last few hours wisely before I have children and noise around me for 8 weeks. Oscar will be home any minute, and by this afternoon they will all be in holiday mode. Fortunately today it is not raining-at least not right now.
Yesterday Oscar had the day off-it was exam make up day, and he didn't need to make any up. We went up to school to pick up his art work- some fantastic stuff.
Here he is with his amazing mask he made. It has a whistle at the back too.
The mask is now up in Oscar's room. Unfortunately we can neither hang it on the wall (because of the wearing apparatus), nor stand it up (because of the beard).
And because it's not often these days that we get to hang out together, we went to the thrift store. All my kids love going there. Oscar got a pair of BRIGHT pink shorts for $4 and we bought these old singles which we put up on his wall. Don't they look cool? I got some bigger records too which I'll use one day for "Matt's music room" (when he gets a music room).
Oh, a beard! I thought for a second that bit jutting out at the bottom was meant to be...you know, because of the position that it juts out...
ReplyDeletenever mind! I get it now - great mask! My cousin used to torment me with a Native American mask when I was a kid, so I totally get Honey's fear. Also, I love the singles on the wall; I'm a bit of a record girl from way back, and still have ALL my singles and albums (about 500 of each, maybe more.) Yours look especially cool because they have the large hole in the centre.

ReplyDeleteThe wall looks great and i love Oscar's mask. I remember a fantastic thing he made here when he was young - tried to keep it for years, but not sure where it is now.
