I have found that I have been very busy lately and that on the odd day when I do have time to myself I become very anti social and just want to get on with doing what I enjoy doing. That, and I have spent a ridiculous amount of time watching CNBC watching the craziness that is the economy and what it means for us living as foreigners here with a husband in the financial industry. So forgive me, once again, for my absence.
I have been keeping the creative fires burning... I am enjoying being able to spend a whole day (usually on the weekend) carding, spinning, plying etc wool. This is one of my latest skeins.
Once again mostly from wool dyed by me last year.
Here is some green koolaid dyed wool that was just too bright, that I knocked back by over dying with some tea. Still very limy, but a better colour. Here is one spool and my other "caterpillars" as Ella calls them waiting to be spun up.And another photo because black cats are so hard to take pictures of; the lovely Leila. And just to be fair a photo of the fat cat Lilly sweetypie with Ella after Karate last week.A close up of one of my many (too many) knitting projects I have going-these squares are all wool I spun. And this is the whole project, still on my needles, using up scraps and generally just me "playing".
I also have 2 cardigans for me to finish, a jumper for Kit, a jumper for me which I'm still designing and my crocheted hexagon granny blanket I started last year....I must NOT start anything else until I finish something. I also have 4 books going....
And because we are well and truly into the beginning of autumn with leaves falling and the weather changing, and because it was supposed to rain all day and didn't but turned into the most beautiful autumn day I took my little camera out in my back pocket when I took Honey for a walk today. It was so bright that I couldn't even see what I was taking until I got home, so the camera did a pretty good job.

We were up at the other end of the pond and the water was rushing in .You can see the water rushing over the dam wall in the back ground of this one.It was such a gorgeous day, sunning and windy-my favourite type of weather. I just kept pointing the camera into the sun and taking the photos.
I love that we can access this beach-if not all year then at least most of the year. It is so gorgeous looking out into the sound. I'd have loved to have gone for a swim today-the water wasn't that cold, and the beach was nearly empty.
And these old pipes are just awesome...I just love looking from all angles. The tide was up really high-I've taken photos of the kids in the pipes before.
Well that's it, times up for me...ballet, dinner, Oscar to weights, Oscar to swimming-Around 7.30 pm I will have time to breath again.
That shed with the axle looks nearly good enough to draw.
