3 deg C this morning. BRRRRISK. Kit and Ella both said today that it smelled like a Tassie day. I love that. Neither of them have ever spent more than a few months in Tassie in their lives, but they were right. It was cool and breezy and then sunny and OH SO Tasmanian.
A typical Saturday for us right now: 8 am Remi had a soccer refereeing clinic (he's going to start to ref the k-2 soccer games for some money). 9 am Kit and Ella swimming (Remi should have gone, but had to miss it). 9:15 am Oscar's weekly chiropractor's appointment. 9:40 back to pick up Kit and Ella. 11 am Oscar up to Rugby training (Matt takes him and helps out) until 12:30. 1:30 Take Oscar back up to school to watch the football team play (after a shower and some lunch). 3pm take Remi to a birthday party. 4 pm pick up Oscar....and so it goes on. Add in a couple of stops at the supermarket and you have our Saturday. Crazy.
BUT tomorrow the boys are on their own for a relaxing day of ...whatever they want to do. Ella and I are off to the American girl doll store with my friend and her 2 daughters. We're having brunch there together. Ella is SO excited. She's picked out her outfit and Lucy's (her doll's)- and she'll probably pick out mine tomorrow. She's been doing chores for me all week to earn some money to spend on a new outfit for Lucy ("she's not just my doll mum, she's my little sister"). So we will have a lovely autumnal day in the city.
Fortunately next week is only a 3 day week!!! Hope you are having a lovely slow relaxing weekend where ever you are.
Oh, I feel exhausted reading about your Saturday1! Have a wonderful, RELAXING, girly day in NYC tomorrow. PS REAL Tassie day here today - my new French Homestay student arrived in nice sunshine, wind blowing and cloudy at times, but passable weather on the whole, but we took a trip to the top of MT Wellington to see the sights and the wind chill factor was huge! Big winds and Freezing. As Pierre was heard to mutter " OOH La La!
