Still no photos

Sorry about that...I didn't take my camera with me at all this weekend.

We didn't make it into the city. Yesterday we went out with the intention of going bowling but the people at the alley were so rude to us that we canned that idea and went out for lunch instead. After lunch we joined the local aquarium and had a lovely time wandering around and looking at fish and turtles and seals etc. It's funny, only a few years ago we would have signed up as soon as we moved here as our life was dominated by trips to zoos, natural history museums, aquariums etc. But now that Oscar and Remi are older we are really struggling to find things that we can all do as a family. Bowling would have been good, but I can't stand appauling customer service. At least Ella feels like she has something to write about.

We also had an escaped hamster, so we had to keep Honey downstairs as I'm not sure she wouldn't eat one if given half the chance. Fortuately we found the hamster this morning.

Today we took Honey out for a play at the dog park. I'm not sure who gets more exercise; the dog or the kids. The kids have a game with Honey where she runs with a stick and the kids chase her-a form of cops and robbers where Honey is always the robber. It seems that there are lots of other dogs who know this game, so our kids spend the whole time chasing all the dogs at the dog park. After Honey was well and truely tired out, we went out for some lunch and then stopped off to buy new shoes for all the kids. A perfect day for a kid I reckon.

There is snow forecast for tonight and tomorrow so I'm hoping it does actually get here and we get a snow day. We won't know until tomorrow though. I'm not getting my hopes up too much. But hopefully I'll have some photos to share tomorrow.
