Congrats to Dad who spotted the boys. (Sometimes I think Grumpy Old Dad and his two dogs Rosie and Siss are the only ones who read this blog). Yes, for some reason they always sit in the middle of the band. And to answer Siss and Rosie's questions about Honey...she has had a very boring week driving me CRAZY eating everything she can find...like decorations off the bottom of the Xmas tree, the garbage in the kitchen and pencils the kids have left on the floor. The mess on the floor is unbelievable...bits of foil, eggshells, paper etc...I find them scattered all over the house. A number of years ago my sister in law made me dried apples covered in cinnamon Xmas tree decorations...Sorry Chels, but all the ones down the bottom of the tree have been eaten. Now Honey thinks it's worth while trying the other decorations just in case.
Fortunately we had snow again on Friday, so she had a lovely time in the snow, chasing snow balls and digging in it. And yesterday I set the kids (with Oscar's friend who'd come to the movies with us) to breaking up twigs and branches on the fallen tree. It's so dry already that we can use it for the fire. The tree was obviously not in good shape. The kids were in heaven, climbing all over the trunk and pulling broken branches out of the ground where they'd lodged themselves when it fell. I put Honey on a really long piece of rope and tied it around my waist. We can't have her off leash as she will run off out to the road where her friend dog is, but she had lots of freedom and had a lot of fun tangling us both up in the branches. I told Kit she was my Daemon which he thought was great.
The movie was great yesterday, but I need to see it heaps more times as I was second guessing it the whole way through. That's the problem with watching a movie when you know the book well. There were heaps of shorts for really good looking kids movies coming up-all movies of books-"Prince Caspian", "Inkheart" and "The Spiderwick Cronicles"...Remi's read the last 2 and he was really excited. The Harry Potter phenomenon has really done so much for kids' entertainment.
We watched some of Elf on TV last night. I love that movie. I want my house to be decorated with all the snowflakes and paperchains just like in the movie. And I love Will Ferrel. There's also a new movie of his coming out which looks just as silly as it should be.
Have a great Sunday (or Monday if you live somewhere else).
thank you for that information...Dad suggested that Hun must have a bit of SWEFUDWSAJtEBB in him, particularly tEB..., now he is making up his mind whether it is a sand-dune (coolenough) day or a swimming (hotenough) day... I suggest it is presently the former and will become the latter later but who can tell what Dad will come up with...he also has to finish making some presents to send overseas as well...it sort of lucky he hasn't got a real job really.
