morning glory

I've not been sleeping well over the last few months. It takes me up to an hour to fall asleep and I will often wake up during the night. Last night was pretty bad, and I woke up this morning feeling so tired. I'm always the first up...I take the dog out and wake the boys up. But as rotten as I felt this morning, I couldn't help but have my mood lifted by this scene that appeared out the window.
I had to go out and capture it. It's actually dark when I get up, and the benefit of that is actually watching the sun rise.
So I took it easy this morning...finished Ella's vest (I'll photograph it on her) and browsed some catelogues while catching up with washing. And I found this in the Garnet Hill catelogue:
I just love it. But instead of paying $325 for it I think I'll have a go at making one myself. I've still got some left overs from my granny squares blanket and since I love using this yarn so much, and I love the colours, I may as well use it. It is so lovely and soft and light and very very cosy. And I need a new little project that I can do in bits and pieces while I'm waiting around at swimming, ballet and Gymnastics. I made 4 hexagons today already.

I'm sorry you're not sleeping well, but what a lovely sunrise. I remember a ouple of very early mornings there too, and it was gorgeous looking at the pond in that light.
