I've dropped the ball

a bit this week with blogging...apologies to those loyal regulars (Dad)...Here's some of the most gorgeous roses to say I'm sorry. I have been very busy with the start of school and all the activities and looking after this boy and his broken arm:
It's still bent and we are being advised to let it heal and that over time it will straighten itself out...rather than operate and re break the bone. It's really hard to know what to do.

On Sunday we had our "block" party where all the neighbours get together for a party. It's lots of fun with games for the kids and a talent competition. Except that it was held at a house with a swimming pool, so it was very hard for Kit. And Matt has been very unwell but had been really nice and made Satay chicken for me to take. But a certain fluffy someone decided that it smelled really good and knocked it off the table and onto the floor, eating as much as she could.

That was the last of our hot summer weather. Since then we've had a few days like this:Although today it's like this (and 21 deg C)...really champagne September weather. Will have to start putting the doonas (duvets) on the beds.

And it's only a week until we leave for Paris! I was getting very concerned about what to wear on my feet (you know those Parisians!). So yesterday I bought 2 pairs of Paris shoes...here's me modelling one pair...

This is the more dressy of the two...I wanted something comfortable but stylish. Matt said we'll only be walking from one cafe to the next, but there's nothing worse than sore feet on vacation. I have no idea what to wear to the RUGBY! Actually I think the French government should issue a list of what to wear when you are in Paris so you don't stick out like a sore thumb. But I expect that since I am not a stick figure and don't smoke like a chimney I will anyway...

At least Honey approves...

About time, at last something to read before breakfast...what to wear to the footy...runners. Always remember when overseas the important thing is to look like an Aussie (if one is an Aussie that is, not just a pretender) that way the rest of the world just has to be impressed. And runners are best for dog walking unless one is going serious bush...now go and give Kit a hug from a grumps.

Morning rituals ...coffee for Maggie, breakfast for Dr Siss (and Rosie), a V8, check emails for news from whoever (usually just spam), then SMH, ABC, the Australian, New York Times, perhaps the Mercury, and then the highlight! Verbosity! well one lives in hope...
