I should have had my camera today, but I'm still recovering from yesterday and last night...Ella came into bed with me then the neighbour's dog got into a very noisy fight with a skunk. Even though Kit had today off school, I still felt like I was running around. So that's why no camera...
BUT!!! Today my mum arrived from Australia, via Korea (visiting my brother and her new granddaughter). We met her off the train and the kids are watching a movie with her right now.
And, Ella had her very first gymnastic lesson. She chose a bright green velour leotard (they were all velour, but she got to choose the colour) and spent the whole lesson rubbing her tummy. She's quite uncoordinated and very gangly, but she LOVED it. And I'm so happy because I loved gymnastics so much when I was a kid. Today the smell of the gym and all the little girls standing around and mucking around took me back a lot of years. The sad thing was that Kit wasn't able to start his class (at the same time). I had to withdraw him from all activities today, so he'll have to wait until December to sign up again. I was watching the boys' class thinking how much he would LOVE it too. Remi would have loved it too, but he's too old for their boys' classes now...
No doubt we'll have a busy weekend, but I promise to take some photos!
You look after your Mum, and those kids as well.
ReplyDeleteJust a thought, while Kit has his broken arm it is a good time for spending lots of time practising/playing chess. Mind you I suppose he would haqve to find some-one who is willing to move slow enough to play with him.
