Lots of early mornings for me at the moment. After having 4 children I can wake up from the deepest sleep as soon as I hear the puppy whimper downstairs. I'm usually standing outside with her before I've even woken up properly. But it's nice to be out that time of morning. The light is gorgeous...as you can see in the photo above. I came in to get something, and I just had to take a photo of the early morning light coming through the window.
Kit is usually second up, but Remi comes out and plays with the puppy too. They all love her so much, but picking up poos is very unpopular. We have been quite housebound with her over the last week. So today I decided we had to get out (much as I'm happy to read in the hammock while the puppy plays). The kids were starting to go a bit crazy. So we went up to the petshop to get a puppy pen with the puppy, then went to the park with the puppy, then went and had lunch outside with her, then (she was exhausted by this time) I carried her while we went and looked in the thrift shop.
She was such a good girl the whole time we were out...playing with people and other dogs. But when people came up and wanted her to lick them on the lips I thought it was a bit much. And yes, it happened 4 times! Eeew.
Here she is with her rabbit which the boys have named Phil McGroin. We think she looks really cute when she lies down and her ears go up...like a little fox.
And our neighbours have some Kayaks and Oscar took Kit out on the pond this afternoon. I don't know if I'd go in and rescue them if they tipped out...it's so disgusting and toxic. And the smell-whooh! But they had fun out there, and it's rare that these two get along with each other, so I was happy. The kids and Matt are going out on a friend's boat tomorrow for some fishing...out on the real water.

I love that intense light in the mornings too. I run at 6am and love seeing the ponds with mist rising and then that amazing light! How big will honey get?
