I was dreaming...the kind of dream which is so enthralling; a dream where all the wonders of the world, past, present and future were revealed to me. I was holding a crystal ball which showed me anything I wished to know. Then from outside this world I heard "mummy, daddy Ella just vomited!" and the ball slipped from my hand and hung there for a split second before falling and shattering into a million irretrievable pieces. With that I woke up, very foggy, to Matt telling me that Kit and Ella had been vomiting all night.

I had gone to bed early as I had "done" my back while trying to lift and put together Kit and Ella's beds that arrived yesterday afternoon. When my back goes, it really goes and I put myself to bed at about 8.30. I must have been sleeping very heavily. Kit had started at about 10.30 and vomited outside our bedroom door, and then Ella had a go and then it went on during the night with the two of them taking turns. Not a great night sleep once I had been woken up. And needless to say they both stayed home from school today.

Thanks be to Direct TV for having a Pokemon movie on and the both just lay watching it while I was able to finish the beds (see blister above) and properly tidy (FINALLY) their rooms. My hand is RED RAW, although the photo doesn't really show it. But the beds look great. Ella is mostly better and Kit is getting there, although he's had a headache all day.

Oh and it was sub zero this morning: 30 deg f. Strange after it was 27 C on the weekend. Real autumn very suddenly. Gorgeous sunny days, but only 12 deg. But this house amazes me. We haven't used any heating at all. The house stays gorgeously warm during the nights. That double glazing is a wonderful thing.
