What could drag me away from this blog for so long? Well there's the unpacking of course, and the fact that my Dad is still visiting with us and then there's this too:
Thoroughly enjoying this book right now. Took a while to get into it, but it goes on and on and on. Don't be put off by the endorsement it gets on the cover by Barbara Taylor Bradford, it is a good read. So when it gets to that time of night when I feel I should blog, the call of Mary and her intrigues is stronger and off I go to bed to read. Actually I've been so EXHAUSTED from all the unpacking that I can hardly string two words together myself.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel. I spent most of the weekend sorting out Matt and my bedroom. I put together this lovely piece of furniture that I bought fairly cheaply online:
It took an hour or so and required 140 or so screws to be screwed in by hand (haven't got an electric one yet). Then I took shelves out of our long skinny cupboard and turned it into hanging space for Matt's shirts and pants, thus freeing up space in the exsisting wardrobe for my clothes: Add Image

Not the world's greatest photo, but you get the picture. To do this even required a trip to the hardware store. The result is that our room is almost done...so while the rest of the house is still chaotic, we have a retreat.
