Even here

I have single handedly managed to deforest a vast tract of land with my tissue usage over the last few days...or at least that's how it feels. I did take the kids out yesterday to the lovely bookstore in town, but that just about took it out of me.

So I spent the next few hours on the couch, watching the setting sun and crocheting away on this blanket that I really must finish soon. Only to realise that last week some time I'd put in 3 rows of the wrong colour and had to pull apart 7 rows to fix the mistake. GRRR.

This morning it was such a lovely day that I managed to pull myself together long enough to take the kids out for a walk. We went back to the same place as last weekend, and there is such a difference in the snow. What was soft and fluffy last week was crusty, hard packed and icy today. Even here one could be forgiven for thinking that spring is on the way.

Not only is the river a little less frozen, but there is just something in the air

We certainly feel it- feel the need to be in the sun...Lilly and I spend all day moving from room to room chasing the sun. I'm not sure that this was comfortable, but it was certainly warm.

  4. Hey, I'm making one of those blankets too! Is it rows of trebles?

How long was your chain? Mine was 180 but I realised that I crochet very tightly so it's not as wide as I wanted it. But never mind it's do for a lap blanket on the sofa. Might try another one with a larger hook (4.5?) to make it for a single bed.

Btw love the way you used black for some of the stripes and those greens are just like the ones I've done.

Hope you're well now .........lots of love
