Yesterday I was feeling nearly human again, so I took the kids out for a drive. Usually we come off the highway onto the local road in the dark, or go back in the evening, so we never get a chance to explore the lovely little towns we drive through. So yesterday we set off that way to see what we could see.
Unfortunately we'd set off a bit early and lots of the galleries I'd seen weren't open, but we found a moose in a furniture shop...I had no idea how HUGE they are. Even here, you can't really tell, but from it's chin to it's antlers was probably as tall as Ella. I took the photo as it's a running joke with us that even though there are beware moose crossing signs everywhere up here, we've never seen one....now I hope we never do!
And this little town is so pretty. I dashed out to take a quick photo of the center of town which has 4 different denominations of churches all around a central grass area ( you can only see 2 here).
Then it was home for lunch and cookie baking and cat drawing...( Kit is colouring in one of mine here).
And yes, that is a budding mow hawk that Oscar had...the whole wrestling team did it to each other before the state finals...I actually neatened it up for him afterwards.
Here's our cat gallery...we had to come up with stories for our drawings, and names for the cats.
Today, there may be some more aebleskiver cooking...I discovered that they are flipping delish drizzled with a mix of honey and maple syrup...bit like that Greek desert...loukimades? or something. Stay warm and cozy my friends.
