The kids went back to school yesterday. Christmas break is always far too short here at only 10 days. We did get another day skiing in on Saturday which was mostly much more successful for me until I fell and hurt my knee on the bottom of my last run. Fortunately it's healing much faster than I thought would be possible.
We're all in preparation to go up to Toronto next week for 4 days; one of the things that's been on my mind since "last year". NOT for a holiday, but to go and get visas from the American embassy there. I'm spending my days filling in tedious visa forms-in duplicate of 6. Fun. But the plus side off getting that done is that Matt and I have a trip to the Cayman Islands at the end of Jan for a few nights- a work thing, all paid for. I hate all the preparations for these things- sorting out the kids and the dog and packing, but it will be so nice to have a little break, just the two of us. Especially as it will be a week before my birthday and his 4oth birthday. See- I'm already looking forward to February!
