Doh!

I forgot to take my camera into the city yesterday. But we had such a nice little trip. The wind was freezing so Ella got some birthday mittens at Little Miss Matched as we walked up 5th ave. American Girl Place was packed to the rafters. Matt and Kit had thought about coming, but I was so glad they didn't. That place really needs a MAN room attached where frazzled Dads and bored brothers can hang out in peace. Ella and I spent ages there- we just have to look at EVERYTHING. Ella had a gift card from Nanny to spend and she chose this set for Lucy....

...after looking at everything in the store and discussing the pros and cons...
My present for Ella; this little back pack that comes will real books and a water bottle. Lucy's very happy. She stood like this by the front door all day waiting for Ella to come home from school.
I had intended to take her to see the Christmas tree at the Rockerfeller center (not sure why I"m underlining here), but we were desperate for some lunch and by the time we found somewhere to sit we were half way back to Grand Central anyway. It was a lovely little outing for the two of us for her birthday .

  1. OOh Ella, I'm sure Lucy will love those presents you bought for her. Well done! I wanted to come too, I felt very jealous when I read about your trip and I miss you all heaps! Nanny

(I'm sure I saw several men with vacant staring eyes in that lounge bit just inside the store Georgia)

  4. Snork, perhaps you should get a phone that has a camera in it, and even though the photos would perhaps not be up to your usual standard at least you can sort of take photos wherever you go.
Now serious stuff, have you met a 60 year old who was in Central Park on that day back in 1984 yet?
    love

Oh i want to be a kid again...dolls are sooooo much more real and gorgeous than when i was growing up... my doll was a celluloid hard walking doll that had a little box in her back that said "Marmm ma" when you bent her over..her hair got all mattered because you couldnt comb it and you really only could look at her ..not play with her or take her to bed ..she was just too hard to cuddle... Ella you little doll is beautiful as are all the acessories...mine had a knitted dress...and no knickers woops!!!
