No snow

We had a period where the rain turned to sleet and then mixed with some big sloppy wet snow flakes- but no REAL snow. Not here anyway. Plus side is that the Mountain where we have season ski passes has FINALLY got some snow and hopefully will open next week (3 weeks after it's usual opening). And I'm taking Ella into the city today to the American girl doll store for her birthday treat (only day from now until Christmas that we are able to because of her and Kit's nutcracker rehearsals) and at least we won't have to deal with Manhattan black slush. I'm trying to convince her that it will still be cold though-it's lovely and sunny here.
