I really noticed this morning how quickly all the leaves have disappeared. We've had a fair amount of rain and wind lately, although it's been remarkably mild.

I love the carpet of leaves on the lawn-Honey is totally camoflaged when we take her outside.
Unfortunately the gardeners come and use those horrid hideous blower things (that I hate-can you tell?) to blow them into big piles and then take them away, but they didn't come this week, so we can enjoy the lovely carpet of yellow.

And I've been knitting frantically this week, trying to finish hats. I tried to take a "view from the couch" kind of photo with all the many many balls of wool littered all around, but it is very difficult with only a long zoom lens. This photo was the best of many and I had the camera as far back behind me as my arms would go...
And, of course, I've found a
new addiction....these ones are drying after being felted today...

And something that may well become an addiction....making pet rocks!!! These ones we had to make for cubscouts today. I bought the supplies and hot glued for the boys. Kit and Ella want to make MORE!!! They'll be "sold" next week at the cub fair. I suspect the boys will be buying back their own.

like the pet rocks, where do buy the eyes?
ReplyDeleteohhh those mushrooms are to die for. I bet Em will want them!!!! Be home MOnday so Ill email you. Love Chels
ReplyDeleteDad, googly eyes you can get at any craft shop-but I'd not seen the coloured ones before. Add a pair of eyes to a rock and suddenly it has personality. Chels, the mushrooms came from a free pattern (which I'm fast adapting), I'll link it in.
ReplyDeleteNo, I've done the pet rock thing - wish I'd read this before though - could get Steve some eyes for his birthday - but I love the mushrooms / toadstools.
