Youth

I always, ALWAYS, have people commenting on how young I am to have a 15 year old son (a few weeks ago I had a woman ask me what grade I was in at school- I don't think she had her glasses on). And while I feel the big 4oh rapidly approaching, I love being a young mother. AND I love that the kids have young grandparents.
Today is my mother's 60th birthday. We are so lucky to be able to have her here to share it with her. And while we will spend this evening in a car (taking Mum up to VT for the weekend), we did manage to squeeze in a cake on Wednesday night before Mum's friend Colleen left.
Ella always dims the lights when we have cake with candles.
(I'm very frustrated without my real camera)
Mum and Colleen. I think it's wonderful that she's been able to do this big trip with all her girlfriends (with a stop in Paris with her boyfriend). What a way to celebrate turning 60!
