Vermont

We're back from Vermont; a lovely little break. I had wanted to share our trip, but blogger just doesn't want to upload photos today. After HOURS of trying, I've only managed these... So it will be our trip in installments.

These three photos I snapped from the car once we'd turned off the highway. I love the piles of wood (stacked ready for the winter), the wonderful houses, the abandoned cars...all such typical VT images for me.
We got up on Tuesday night...we had to wait around for Matt to have his PICC line taken out. So he was unplugged and ready to go.
On Wednesday morning he went out for a bike ride for 3 or so hours while I did my favourite thing to do while on holiday-just read. BLISS! Just when I picked him up (he didn't want to have to ride back up the big hill) it started to rain, and that's kind of how it went the whole time...rain, and LOTS of it, and cold, but then gorgeous and sunny.
We went to buy tickets for the circus in the afternoon. Kit and Ella have never been to the circus, and Oscar and Remi can't remember going once with my dad and stepmum. It was a youth circus which I'm always happy to support. When we got to the farm where the circus was, we found this AMAZING and WONDERFUL display of old tractors standing in a line out in the field. Aren't they gorgeous? They went on and an on and on...
The kids climbed all over them for ages, but all I wanted to do was to take photos of their cute little faces...

Must have been all those years that the boys were into Thomas the tank engine, but they just had so much character to me...Don't you think???

The circus was BRILLIANT. My face hurt from laughing and smiling so much. Amazingly talented kids. Kit and Ella want to go up to Vermont next summer for circus camp now.
