The big day

We have our ballet concert today.  And these photos are as much for my Mum (who would love to come and watch) as anything.  I took them at the dress rehearsals last night.  They are all blurry (I didn't take my tripod-too much for my brain to cope with).

So here are some photos, Mum, to give you an idea.

They start off with their martial arts performance.  This is Ella and Kit with an older girl in the middle.  They do a couple of sequences together.

Then comes the ballet performance where Kit starts off with a solo.  I think he's the only one in the whole performance to do so.

Then he calls on his girls...

Ella is the one right up the back two across from Kit...

Then he twirls Sophie (I have no idea which one is Ella...possibly the one just to the left of Kit)

Then he lifts Sophie-this brings the house down...then he does the twirl and lift with another girl, Nicole.  Kit and Sophie have been leads together 3 times now (there may be a little crush going on there).

Then they do some more stuff in a line (Ella is 3rd from Kit's left).

And finish with a nice pose....Ella is the middle of the 3 at the left of Kit.

So there you have it.  Roughly 7 minutes of stardom...and we have to sit through a 2 hr concert for it.  The boys aren't real happy, especially since it is a GORGEOUS day after a week of rain.  But then next week we'll have no after school activities apart from Gymnastics on Friday for Kit and Ella and Soccer for Remi...and only 3 more weeks of school! (I may have already mentioned that-can you tell I'm looking forward to summer?)
