Snow

Look what we woke up to this morning! It had started lightly snowing when I went to bed, but I didn't really expect anything to be on the ground in the morning....Isn't it lovely. I love the snow on all the bare branches. And on the washing on the line...the kids bathers and towels from swimming yesterday and Oscar and Remi's rugs which have both had cat accidents...And Honey is the happiest dog ever in the snow. Especially when she gets to play with her favourite ball in the snow (it has a rip in it so she can pick it up).Ella had hoped to do some sledding, but there wasn't quite enough for that.Leila (who is desperate to get outside every day-Lilly hates going outside) was decidedly unimpressed with snow. She followed us, walking only on the snow free surfaces, then made her way out onto the snow, meowing and meowing for us to come back. She's standing with her paws all crowded together. And the cutest little snow man made by the cutest little girl...she also made a tiny snow lamb which is in the freezer.I know it won't last long, but it is so nice. We have Christmas carols playing and the kids are making/regifting presents for each other. They are desperate to go and do some Christmas shopping today too. Oscar and I spent ages yesterday finishing making presents to send to Aus.
It's a lovely feeling in the house

That's gorgeous - there's something so exciting about the first snow when you're an Aussie and not used to it! Tell Ella I think that's the happiest snowman I've ever seen. I loved the cat trying to stand on one leg!

Hi Georgia. I read your comment on chelsea's blog about having a slow computer. Most of the time this can be sorted out by:
    - Have at least 25% of the hard disk unused (v. important)
    - Download and use spyware doctor from the google website. Set it to run regularly
    - Run antivirus software
    - Run disk cleanup and disk defragmenter once a week (under accessories/system tools)
    - Clean up the desktop
    - You can also see if there are programs automatically running when the computer starts up, but this is more difficult than the other items
    - Adding RAM is a pretty cheap way to increase computer performance, and is easy to put in. You could put it in yourself with a screwdriver and reading some instructions on the internet. It may prolong the useful life of the computer
