New Painting
Finished this the other day, but have been waiting for it to dry completely before photographing. It bumped my red/purple/pink circle that I blogged about before as I still haven't worked out how to paint the background on that one. This one has been rolling around my brain for a while, but I just had to get it out after seeing Jasper Johns' white American flag at the Met the other day.It is not as white as I had initially imagined it, but I love the gold tones in it. Infact the "cream" background has lots of gold paint in it and picks up the light beautifully. It looks different in different light.
A close up of the paper tiles. While I was doing this little photo shoot, Honey was desperate to come out.And I see why...it's her painting; all her glorious colours (do you think that maybe there's a drawing in that for you, Dad?

Perhaps Honey can be drawn in an Aussie ute, that is a sort of ute dog pose she is putting on. (Good girl Honey)
ReplyDeleteI will look out for a good ute for her.
GOD
This is beautiful. I love it.
