So far

Well it's not been the lazy hazy crazy days of summer that I'd hoped so far. I've had to get full physicals for the kids so they can do summer camp which includes being absolutely up to date with all immunisations. That's meant lots of waiting around in the doctors surgery. Poor Remi has been suffering from his tetanus and Hep b ones all day...

Oscar's been catching up on sleep as only a 14 year old can.

And we went up to school to pick up this piece of art that he had deliberately left behind because he didn't want it. His art teacher called me and told me how talented he is (as if I didn't know). It's a miniature rock garden with sand. Unfortunately the lights don't work-he's got little mirrors everywhere and it would look gorgeous. Ella spent a few hours today just playing with it, pushing the rocks through the sand, making designs (and spilling sand all over the floor). She then went on to learning hieroglyphics...While Kit has claimed Oscar's trumpet now that he won't be doing music at high school. We tried to convince him to keep it up, but his heart just wasn't in it. Kit can start learning an instrument at school next year and he's keen to learn the trumpet. We've convinced Oscar to teach him for now (those two clash a lot, so we'll see how they go). Ella got upset because she's had dibs on the trumpet since she was 3!!!

Today was officially the start of summer. The days start getting shorter now. We've had thunderstorms every day for the last week. It's been a funny start to the summer.

A busy weekend ahead...
