It's official!

Matt booked tickets today. He got some free tickets to a World Cup Rugby match in Paris, so he and I are having 4 days in Paris at the end of September!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited. I have always wanted to go to Paris and it will be the first trip away for Matt and I in 13 years (apart from 1 night when Remi was a baby). Mum will be here and will look after some of them and Oscar's off to stay with his friend with the puppy to make it a bit easier for her. Oscar keeps telling me all the things I should do while I'm there. Any one esle with any suggestions???? I think I'll be happy just to soak up the atmosphere.

The main thing you must do in Paris:: let it all soak in. don't let yourself run ragged trying to see everything in such a short time. and have fun (and know i'm jealous)

But that will clash with the real grand final... Where are your priorities? Mind you I suppose the real thing will be telecast on those telly screens they put up all round the city during the bike race so you will be able to watch it.
Anyway have a good time nevertheless, and will Honey be available by email while you are away?

  3. Go to the Picasso Museum in the Marais - even if you don't like his later works. It is a smaller museum, not crowded and absolutley delightful. I still dream of "The Bathers" - I bought a poster of it - the blue is luminous in the original, but the poster is a big disappointment by comparison - but when I look at it, the original pops out and haunts me. Enjoy your time there and do as Amy suggested - just be - sit in cafes, browse through the local shopping precincts - buy chocolate croissants for breakfast - heaven.
