When Simmy was here she suggested doing and i-cord, something I'd never tried before (and I actually ended up knitting mine with the wrong side out, something I'll not do again). I then decided I wanted the bag to be able to close and chopped it up and restitched it all. I then came up with the idea that I wanted the bag to be both a shoulder bag and a back pack, so with a few little hitches and changes in design along the way, this is the finished project:
I had to put buttons on the straps to stop the bag slipping down them when it's in shoulderbag mode and they are not exactly evenly placed, but I'm kind of sick of working on it now. Unfortunately the wool didn't all felt evenly, so the bag has a bulge at the bottom and a few wonky bits at the side, but it is what it is. I'm not even sure if I like it, or if I'll use it...I'll have to give it a few goes first.
