Here's some photos taken yesteday up at the cove. It was a lovely day, although a little cool. I drove there...I'm getting much more confident with my lessons...I think Matt and the kids were more nervous than me. I also want to get used to driving our big car as it is totally different to the little driving school cars.
These last two photos were taken with my zoom lens (70-300). Matt and I were sitting on some rocks basking in the sun and the kids were so far away that I could hardly see them and yet I could photograph them. I LOVE looking at the world through that lens. Even Matt is constantly grabbing the camera off me for a look and a few snaps.
Today we did a big spring clean. I am really not into the whole house work thing until I get going and then it's full on. Pulling things out, wiping down walls washing floors and window sills etc. The problem with an old house like this it that it is so hard to clean...you turn around after mopping the floor and there is dust everywhere. But it is looking better and that makes me happy. I love a clean house...I just hate doing it.
And we had Oscar's French trip group over for a run through the details and a conversation class this afternoon (part of the reason for the BIG CLEAN). I can't believe it's only 2 weeks until he goes...how exciting.
And only 5 days until my number 2 child turns 11. Must be a sign of me getting old. It's funny because I am always prepared for Oscar to turn a year older, but not Remi. Remi was my baby for the 3 1/2 years before I had my next 2 babies and I am somehow not ready for him to enter those dark pre teen years...probably less ready than I am for Oscar to enter those deep dark teen years. It never ceases to amaze me the different relationships I have with all my children.
Remi was actually born on Good Friday and usually I am ready for Easter around this time...but not this year. I can't get my head around Easter this year...especially as the kids don't break from school until a week later (when Oscar goes to France). I should be all eggs and bunnies and I'm not. I suppose there's still time!
And just think it is now 20 years since your first driving lesson...in our Benz, no less.
ReplyDeleteSo you should be getting the hang of it by now.
