They got in late last night (after 2.30 am) so are lying low today. It's good to have the middle two back as the dynamics were very different with them away.
Here's some photos from their trip...looks lovely.
They met some Aussies at the hotel...actually a group of ex Tasmanians (we're everywhere) who came over from the UK. They had their "Boonie" doll which went with them to the cricket. But even better they'd booked a water taxi to get to the cricket on St. Kitts and invited Matt and the boys along.
I love this photo...apparently as they were leaving there was a carnival in the streets. They had to hurry back to catch their boat taxi, but stopped for a photo with this guy...but Kit wouldn't have anything to do with him.
Remi and Mello the mascot. And on the boat back from the cricket to the hotel.

Today it's 21 deg C!!! Seriously! It's so lovely to welcome the warm weather back after a cold winter. So I've taken advantage of it and started washing all the clothes the boys brought back all wet and stinky and drying on the line and blocking all my squares...
Alicia has convinced me that I should block these squares (something I've never done before). So here's two squares before next to two squares after...
And here's all my lovely little squares laid out in the sun to dry...all 28 of them. I know it's not nearly enough as I want this for my bed. I'm hoping that these grannies aren't too granny like, but I don't think they are. I think they're quite funky. I even got my 12 year old son's stamp of approval for a few of them.
yay, looks like so much fun was had! with your quilt... what does blocking mean?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fantastic time was had at the World Cup! I've sent a few photos through to my cricketing friends to make them jealous. Love the Boonie Doll. Did he have his own seat on the flights?
