I am a very impatient person

So I couldn't wait for my squares to dry. And Chels, blocking means you wet the knitted piece, pin it out to its correct dimensions and let it dry flat BEFORE you join it all together. Kind of what you should do when you wash your jumpers too-pull them into shape and let them dry flat.

As I said, I have NEVER done it before...I usually have things half stitched together before I've even finished knitting them. So as my squares were nearly totally dry I hung them up and let them flap in the breeze a bit. It reminds me of Tibetan prayer flags.

And this photo was taken with my new Canon Rebel...ta da. But I must say it's almost too good for me. I will be spending the next 6 months learning how to use it. I may even have to take a photography course so that I can use it to its full potential. I also have 2 lenses for it, so it's a sharp learning curve for me. But being the impatient type I was out taking photos with it before I had any idea how to use it.
Such gorgeous weather that the kids want to have dinner outside tonight. We'll enjoy it while we can!

And THANKYOU!!!! to Simmy for our lovely swap package that came today. I'm looking forward to having my penguin...and Fruit Pastels! AH! Fruit Pastels...I'd forgotten about them and you've never seen a packet disappear so fast. Of course the wool is divine too and I can't wait to spin it up or use it for mermaid curls...haven't decided which yet.

Georgia, that photo is brilliant - very artistic. Glad you liked the penguins etc but just wait till you get the flying saucers and pontefract cakes that are on the way!
