I never really feel much of a foreigner in this country until I have to deal with things like medical insurance. Matt and I spent most of this morning trying to find a specialist for Kit to see who was in our insurance plan. It just seems like such a foreign thing to me and I don't know how we organise getting the Xrays to them and all that. I left Matt on the phone while I went off for my first driving lesson. Fortunately by the time I got home he'd found one.
And the driving lesson was much less scary than I'd imagined. I think it helps having someone who is really relaxed and can just talk you through everything. But I'm better than I thought I was so that's boosted my confidence a bit.
