We went to Costco today to do our big shop for the month. There were a couple of big things we had to get like a heater for Oscar's room.And we came home with a new bike for Ella. Not just a new bike, but a pink Barbie bike with dangly bits on the handlebars and a backpack for the front. It took ages to put together and it was nearly dark by the time she got to ride it, but then she was away....her and Kit doing laps up the driveway.
And not only that, but the new pink coat was bought today and we got a warm one for Kit and a sleeveless vest for him and snow gloves for everyone but me (not sure how that happened) and new electric toothbrushes...that place is so dangerous. Fortunately Matt walked away from
the guitar that he was looking at. It's all stuff we were going to get at some stage, but when it's there and cheap it's hard to resist!
And we had a good day yesterday. Oscar suprised us all by coming downstairs and asking if we could do something as a family. When a 12 year old says that you don't want to say no...it might be the last time for a while. So we went out and had lunch together and a bit of a shop...music store, target and CD store (INXS, Rolling Stones, They might be giants and Oscar got a greenday CD of course!)
And the kids only have 3 days of school this week...Tuesday and Friday they have off. Then a full week and then another 3 day week for Thanksgiving when we are going to Vermont!
Has Ella got a butt behind those skinny legs! Lucky girl! And a very cute coat Ella!

Sounds like a great shop - i'll have to put that one on my list for next year! And tell Ella that I love her new bike - it matches her outfit so well. I didn't know she was such a good bike rider.
