my efforts

I whipped up the bowl yesterday and we'll put "candies" in it tonight (no Chels, that's not the project) and the pumpkins were today's effort. Unfortunately with all the windy weather we've had the two beautifully elaborately carved pumpkins totally dried up and shrivelled. And in the process of carving the second one I broke BOTH my special pumpkin carving knives.

So the owl took about 2 hours to carve with a normal knife today with alot of modification, and after that I'd had enough. So I carved new faces in the sides of the shrivelled pumpkins and another face in the final one! Hopefully it will satisfy the kids anyway. At least there are heaps of seeds left over. Oscar and Remi have taken to baking them...Oscar even took some to school to share today. They spice them really nicely, but I must say they're not really my cup of tea.

The pumpkins look great - what a shame they didn't last. I've studied Kit's costume more now and he looks more like a pirate???

What did Remi (and Oscar?) get dressed as?
