Balls
I was airing my blankets today and thought how good they looked outside, then Kit took off his jumper and somehoe it made a scene. That jumper I knitted for Oscar in Singapore, and some of the green made it into the blanket with the motifs, and some of the white from that blanket made it into the crocheted one.
Before the beds arrived and I had sick kids, I was doing a fair bit of spinning. I found that I had quite a few balls that needed plying...stuff I'd done in Sydney and forgotten about. So now I have 2 balls of the merlot, one dark grey brown,
one reddy brown (alpaca) and 2 lovely greeny/lavender balls. They actually looked lovely out in the grass, picking up the colours around them...grass, little pink flowers, sea, sky and bark, but the bright autumnal sun just washed them all out. Oh and there's a little ball of white alpaca with some random colours mixed through it which I'll ply with some plain white.
And here is evidence of my hard work over the last few days...Kit and Ella's lovely room which is actually tidy (for now).
Actually, it was a good thing to put them back in together, as they really do get on well together. While they had their separate rooms there was a lot of arguing and "get out of my room"s going on. Now they are the best of buddies again and play together in the mornings. We even came downstairs this morning and found them cuddled up together on the arm chair (with 2 couches they could have been sitting on). They have played together most of the day. So gorgeous!

Sounds like the separation did them some good! The room looks much bigger than what they had in Sydney, whcih is fantastic. I suppose Ella's bed is the one with the 45 soft toys on the bed! You must be enjoying the house so much with all this room to spread out.
ReplyDeleteYeah...huge rooms and Im impressed that you put together those beds...aweosme!
