our journey so far...

The trip over on the plane with the kids was great. Breaking it up by staying overnight in Tokyo was brilliant. It turned it in to a fun adventure. I was almost disappointed that we were coming to live in America not Japan...I love that sense of adventure when a place feels really foreign...reminded me of when we moved to Singapore. But we had fun and it meant that when we arrived in the US we weren't as shattered as we otherwise would have been.

We had fun in the restaurant trying new foods, and I ate the dried fish that the whole family thought I wouldn't. And the boys had fun trying on the Kimonos in their hotel room. And I picked up a few nice things to decorate the house with duty free.
The flight over Alaska and Canada was beautiful. We couldn't see much, but the sun was rising. And then over the great lakes...they truely are "GREAT"!

Love the kimonos kids. I hope to buy one when I'm in Japan. I'll take lots of pictures of Mt Fugi and the countryside
