I spoke way too soon about the sunshine...rain here for the next 4 days...
But hopefully it will still be a bit snowy in VT and not all slush.
I found these photos on my camera from the last time I was up there. There had been a big snow storm and as it had been mild the week before, all the built up ice and snow on the barn roof started slipping off.
Matt stood there for ages trying to catch that moment when it was going to break off. And of course he missed it, but here's what it looked like at the bottom after the ledge broke off. That's a full sized garbage bin buried against the wall. We haven't really been able to use the back door since the start of winter...

And I have to share this mirror (please ignore the hiddeous wall paper behind- I haven't got to stripping the wall paper in the kitchen yet) . My new best friend in VT is the guy at the dump. We have to take our garbage and recycling to the local dump and there's all this stuff just sitting there for free. I picked up this lovely little mirror- the wood was peeling a bit- I just sanded and oiled it and it's really nice now. I also got a little table for the TV in the boys room and an old trunk. Kit got an army coat (which I washed in hot water before he wore it). I'm happy to take the garbage now so I can have a look. Although usually Matt borrows our neighbours' old manual "pick up" to do the garbage run. Not sure I'm brave enough for that.
Like the mirror, you can have the snow, hopefully a wonderful high twenties, sunny day here today.

yay, Georgia's own little tip shop! Although the tip shops in Hobart are so overpriced.... wish they were free! When Dave came home on Monday from Vietnam he had quite a lot fo facial hair. He came up with it in a goatie look and he looked so much like Matt!!! funny!
