Weekending

I don't yet have a cord to connect my camera to my ipad, so I waiting until I got home to post these photos.

Our weekend (with only 2 children- I felt all weekend like something was missing) was spent making sausages... Kit and Matt at the helm.

Notice puppy down there watching eagerly...she had her revenge when we didn't put away the cooked sausages after dinner; she climbed up on the table and ate them all. Now she's a fat and rolly polly puppy.
Meanwhile I finished the boys room...
Well, almost. I still have to make a comforter cover for the bed up the back- I ran out of fabric.

We all love hanging out in this room- especially the animals.
Yesterday we went for a walk at a nearby camp ground where they groom the snow for cross country skiing/snow shoeing etc. It was a bit like walking in sand if you were on the track, but as soon as you stepped off, you were in soft powdery snow well above the knees...

And just some photos of the house...
My big painting has finally found a home.
My lovely mushroom doll made by Chelsea looks right at home with my other treasures.
Two of Oscar's photos framed by my favourite place to read and have my Sunday afternoon nap before we drive back.
And Oscar's bed with his cushion that was his jumper I knitted him when he was little. He's not little any more...he kisses me on the TOP of my head.
(this bedroom is so dark...I have it in my sights as my next big paint job...lightening it up above the dado and getting rid of the custard cream trim- my eternal battle in that house!)

  1. Thanks for all the photos. Your art works look perfect in that house. I remember Oscar in the pajumper (I still call jumpers that after Remi's version, and apricots 'odidots', because I love those words.) Their bedroom is looking great, much nore masculine.
