After feeling my birthday yesterday, I convinced the kids that we should celebrate last night. Actually it worked out well, as I'm having dinner in NYC with friends tonight.
Oscar baked me a cake. Which turned out flat. He then tried to make it a tie dye cake with food colouring....which got everywhere.
Kit decided to put some in his hair and on his face and it was still there this morning and he had to go to school like this.
The cake may have been flat, but the ganache icing was really good....
Really, really good....
I mean, if you can't do this on your birthday, then what's the point!
And good news on the trees- it did get above freezing yesterday so all that ice on the trees melted and they were able to spring back upright.
And today is a beautiful day...
i am with you Georgia birthday girl...it is your day...so no etiquette rules...do what you like...and licking the icing is the way to go...Yeah!!!!
