Chill'in

Hello from VT. We got up here on Saturday night-we had to pick Oscar up from the state wrestling finals in back of CT somewhere. The team had gone up Friday night where he managed to qualify and stayed over. Unfortunately he was the lowest qualifier for his weight division which meant his first two matches were against the top two and he lost those- but had fun anyway. Remi is lucky enough to have been taken to Florida with his friend for the week. We've had the long weekend, and Matt's going back down tonight, leaving me here with the 3 kids until Friday. Unfortunately Oscar and I are sick with the fluey thing that's been going around, so we've been taking it pretty quite around here.


We've been watching the little red squirrel who lives out the back-I took these photos through the kitchen window. Isn't he so sweet!!!!


We had some friends come around yesterday to help make some more sausages...and they brought their brand new great Dane puppy. Oscar bonded with him immediately.


We've been churning out yummy aebleskiver with our new surprise pan that arrived in the mail as a present from Matt's mum. The dad of the great Dane puppy just happens to actually be Danish, so we got some tips making authentic aebleskiver. Apparently the Danes never actually put anything inside them...but we discovered today that they are pretty awesome with a dollop of nutella in the middle.


And here's my little friend again because he is just so cute! Remember the painting I did of a red squirrel a while ago...think it's in my flickr stream...well, it looks just like him. I have that painting in the yellow room up here.
