Not quite the same as BBQs on the beach, of hot weather, and sunburn, but we have the spirit of the day with us today. The kids wore their new Aussie T-shirts to school, and we found a tiny bit of exposed skin on Ella to put a tatoo. The kids are actually hoping for an early dismissal today as more snow (and my favourite- wintery mix) is due this afternoon. In fact, it's already started, which is why I didn't notice the hair on my lens and why I'm not going back out to take another. We've had so much snow this year. Another 4 inches yesterday morning. Another 6 -10 expected tonight. And you know it's been a cold winter (it was -23 C on Monday morning) when you go outside and 0C feels almost balmy!
I'm hunkering down to knit myself a pair of leg warmers today. I live in my ugg boots (a bit slippery in the snow), so I need some snuggies to put on my legs to enable me to wear other boots. I know there are plenty of other things I SHOULD be doing, but really, it's that kind of day.
