Connecticut Christmas

It's strange to me to have 2 Christmas trees. Two totally contrasting trees. Here is our CT tree. Pretty similar to what we have every year- the main thing missing is my collection of silver snowflakes that I get from the Met every year- they are in VT. We have to move a chair to fit it in, which means Honey's bed gets shunted under the tree.
Every morning when I come down stairs I see her sleeping in the dark room lit by only the Christmas lights. She's like the gift that keeps giving.
Although she does tend to go a bit overboard dusting the ornaments with her tail.
Ella's ever growing collection of Christmas snowglobes. She also has an all year round collection of tourist ones. We always know what to get Ella when we go somewhere!
Our nutcrackers for when the kids did the nutcracker- they've both missed not doing it this year.
The old advent calendar is up down here, but it's purely decorative. The older boys are watching their weight for their wrestling divisions, and a chocolate every night leading up to Christmas feels like a tradition we need to let go... The kids are very attached to this though, even though I've wanted to make a better one for years.
No giant Christmas stockings though- Ella hung those up in VT last weekend. Since we are going to be up there for Christmas day, the kids needed to know that their stockings were waiting.

We're up to VT again this weekend. With our first house guest- Ella's BFF, Shelby, who will be sleeping with Ella in her newly painted room.
