some photos before the meal

Just uploaded my photos...

Took this one the weekend before last when we got back from VT...before I took down the halloween decorations...isn't that awesome!
Last weekend in VT...Photos taken by Ella. We hada bit of excitement as we woke up on Saturday morning to police cars, ambulances and fire engines...a car had gone into the river across the road. They'd found it in the morning- the driver had smashed the window and got out. Matt and the kids spent ages watching all the shenangans...the rescue people had to get into the river and pull it out. Ella took photos for me as I kept painting...
We haven't heard what happened to the driver...but certainly caused a bit of excitement, and Matt met so many of the neighbours.

And these are the fruits of my labours... The front room is now a room.

And the hallway is now NOT mustard yellow and baby poo green!!!
And the ceiling is no longer mustard yellow too- it's so much lighter and brighter!!!
Right...pork pies are up.

  1. It all looks lovely. So satisfying for you. I have been without internet for 3 weeks, with constant phone calls to the service provider only to find out last night that the copper wire leading to the unit is too loopy to run broadband wireless, so I just tried ringing you to chat about the banking. I hope to buy a USB internet device today, but you may have left for Vermont already. If you get a chance to ring me, please do. love from frustrated mum xxx

  2. House looks fabulous, George - though Honey looks a little bored with it all! I love the lampshade in the hallway - and the cushion, of course. Can't wait to see it in real life...

  3. Have a cuppla minutes to spare so have revisited. It struck me that the window seat is very reminiscent of Bellerive. The stairway for some reason makes me think of Uncle Dai's... And the little gothic mirrory thing reminds me of my cousin David's place in St Davids - I loved the way they had picked up on the cathedral theme in their stairway. Off to Annie Lamb's Christmas market now. XXXX
