Turn turn turn

Remember me MOANING (yes, I know I do) about all that hot weather???? Well sometime over the weekend it cooled off a little. It's still humid, but I've started to notice this:
It's a terrible photo taken through my kitchen bug screen, but yes, that's a yellow leaf. Is autumn really on the way????
It must be, as the last few mornings I've been putting on my slippers, and jeans.
Lucky, then, that I finished this today. This is unblocked (hence the rolled sleeves), and has whatever buttons I had at home as I really don't have the time or inclination at the moment to go and buy some buttons.
The pattern is free here. I love using these patterns as they challenge me. This really was a 2 steps forward, 1 step back kind of thing. It took me a while to work it all out. But I like it. I love cardies with short sleeves for winter in the house. The yarn is one of my favourites that I use all the time. It's so warm and soft. I had to work a bit to get the right gauge, and this is only a medium, so I'm not sure if it turned out bigger than the pattern measurements. I also changed the collar a bit- I put a loop and button instead of a press stud. And I think somehow I put an extra button in...but whatever.

I didn't drive up for the house inspection today- they had to change it because the power isn't getting put on until Friday. It's all been quite hectic around here with papers to sign and organising everything. I will put more photos of the house one at some point though.
