Stamp

A gorgeously glorious weekend- sunshine, warmth and we all just played and lived outside. SO wonderful. This little puppy is absolutely tuckered out after all the running around she's been doing. And she's wet- Kit decided that even though it was early spring he was going to go for a swim- and Honey went in with him. Kit didn't stay in that long.
Ella had her friend Shelby around and I had to do Caribbean style plaits for Ella to match Shelby's from her trip to St. Martins.

And I finally managed to carve a stamp. I'd been doing sketches and trying to work out something before carving, but I wasn't happy with any of them- so I just started to carve and a tree appeared. I like trees.
And I love the look of these stamps with all the bits carved out of them.

A tree in blue/green and one in reddy brown. (the splodges are on my lens not the paper). I love how just changing the colour of the stamp totally changes the look of the tree.

It took me a while to get the stamps to work properly- with no residual carved bits showing and enough ink.
